Houston Food Bank

HFB-TransparentLogo2It’s the credit union way to serve the underserved in our community. That’s why Harris County Federal Credit Union is hosting its annual food drive to benefit the Houston Food Bank. This year we are looking to surpass the previous year in total pounds donated. If we are going to do this, we will need your help!

You can help by donating items from the most needed list to HCFCU’s holiday food drive, or by giving funds to help the Houston Food Bank. Donations are being accepted between October 23rd and November 17th. A single winner will be selected for a $100 deposit for their participation.

The food bank can provide many nutritious meals to people in need, just $1 donated equals 3 meals for someone in need. There is no limit to the number of items donated and staff will also participate by donating items and volunteering time. There are multiple ways to donate! You can drop your non-perishable food items off at the box near the teller line, you can make a monetary donation while in the branch, or you can use the form below to have funds debited from a specified account, and become a hero to the thousands of people in Southeast Texas who struggle daily with where their next meal will come from.

If you would like to make a monetary donation from an account that is not associated with HCFCU, you can do so here.  To be entered into the $100 drawing, please donate using your first and last name as it is listed on your HCFCU account.

Official Contest Rules:
Eligibility: Hcfcu members in good standing who donate a minimum of $5.00 to the Houston Food Bank drive beginning October 23, and ending on November 17.  Limit one entry per member. Participation is limited to HCFCU members in good standing. Credit union employees, board members, and volunteers are not eligible.  Immediate family members of credit union employees and volunteers are not eligible. The winner will be selected in a random drawing from eligible entrants received.  The winner will be notified by phone or email by the credit union on or after December 1st.  To claim the prize, the winner must sign and return a prize receipt.  The prize will only be awarded to an entrant who complies with the official rules.  Award will be issued via a $100 deposit into the account the donation was designated from. Odds of winning depend on the total number of entries received at the end of the contest period; entry is determined and qualified by transaction and account reports. Federal, state and local tax liability and any other expenses are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. Void where restricted and prohibited. Prize is non-transferable, non-assignable and non-exchangeable. Standard account terms and conditions apply to all contestants. Winner assumes responsibility upon acceptance. By accepting a prize, the winner consents to the use of their name, pictures, and likeness for publicity purposes without further compensation; all entrants agree to release and hold harmless HCFCU from any and all claims of any kind arising directly and indirectly from the giveaway(s), prize(s), or any publicity received from the promotion.
