Disputes

Please report any suspicious transactions you find immediately. If you are not enrolled in online banking, text alerts or e-alerts to help you monitor your account – contact us today. Please be aware that HCFCU does not request card numbers, account numbers or PIN numbers from members via e-mail, text or phone. If you feel that your payment card information may be at risk, please do not hesitate to contact us as follows:

If your debit card has been blocked or you received communication from our fraud department to verify transactions occurring on your debit card, contact our fraud department at the number provided in the SMS or phone message or contact the credit union for further assistance.

Credit Card Disputes
To report unauthorized charges on your credit card, please call 833-541-0777 or log into your credit card manager and initiate your dispute online. If you have received an alert regarding possible fraudulent activity on your credit card, please make sure to have the case number provided in the communication you received.

Debit Card Disputes
To initiate a dispute for unauthorized charges on your debit card, please call (866)279-1399

ACH Disputes
To initiate a dispute for unauthorized ACH transactions on your account fill out the form here and email it to hcfcu@hcfcu.com.

It’s important to safeguard your account information, debit/credit card numbers, PIN or other passwords from individuals looking to obtain your information. This includes not writing your PIN on your cards, looking out for suspicious ATMs, self-checkouts and/or pay-at-the-pump locations, not replying to suspicious emails or phone calls and monitoring your account activity regularly. You can further protect yourself while shopping online by registering your cards with MasterCard Secure Code and following the tips here.
